A coupled model for Transport of Pollutants in the Environment
The goals of the model are:
- familiarizing with contaminant transport processes in rivers, vadose zone and aquifers;
- "demystification" of mathematical procedures for evaluating the transport of contaminants in rivers, vadose zones and aquifers;
- use of a database to couple the migration of a contaminant from the unsaturated zone through the phreatic aquifer and along a river in hydraulic communication with the aquifer.
